Empowering the African Girl-Child Through Technology

Project Apunda is a transformative initiative CSR project designed to empower African girl-children by providing them with access to computer and technology education. The project seeks to bridge the digital gender gap, promote digital literacy, and foster future-ready skills among girls in underserved communities and rural areas in Africa.

 Recognizing the persistent digital gender divide across the continent, this project is designed to offer equitable access to digital education, enhance girls' participation in technology fields, and create a future where young women can lead, innovate, and thrive in the digital economy.

 

​​The primary purpose of Project Apunda Africa Intiative 2025/2026 is to:

• Empower girl-children in Africa through access to computer and tech education.

• Bridge the digital divide and ensure gender-inclusive innovation.

• Cultivate a generation of confident, tech-savvy young women.

• Provide hands-on training in computer literacy, coding, digital design, and emerging tech.

• Distribute digital tools and learning resources to targeted communities.

• Establish local tech hubs and safe learning spaces for girls. •

• Collaborate with local schools and community leaders for sustainable impact. 

 

Target Audience:

Girls aged 10 to 18 in underserved communities across Africa. 

Focus:

Project Apunda Africa  represents a critical step toward digital equity and gender empowerment in Africa. By investing in the girl-child through technology, the project envisions a future where every girl has the tools, confidence, and support to shape her own digital destiny.
